Grace M. Stine – Monongahela

Grace M. Stine, 82, of Monongahela, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2019, in the Residence at Hilltop, Monongahela. She was born March 13, 1936, in Washington Township, the daughter of John Irwin and Bessie Davis Watson.​ Grace was a member of St. Damien of Molokai Church in Monongahela. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Grace was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed cooking meals and sharing them with her many family members and neighbors. She and her husband Jack enjoyed many years of boating on the rivers locally and the surrounding areas.​ She is survived by her husband, John “Jack” Stine Sr., with whom she celebrated 62 years of marriage; two sons, Bob Stine at home, James Stine and wife Mary of Carroll Township; three grandchildren, James Stine Jr., Andrew and Sarah Stine; three sisters-in-law, Marylou Hoskins of Kentucky, Ann Stine of New Jersey and Nora Watson of Allenport; and many nieces and nephews.​ In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John C. Stine Jr., who died Dec. 24, 1984; five brothers, Kenneth, John “Puddin,” Raymond “Punkin,” Wade and William Watson; and five sisters, Emma Karlsin, Ruth Hails, Charlotte Malys, Evelyn Watson and Shirley Grados.​ Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at St. Damien of Molokai Church with the Rev. Patrick Barkey as celebrant. Committal services and interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Monongahela. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com​.
