Couple accused of assaulting mother

A Mon Valley couple is accused of assaulting the man’s mother in Monongahela Friday.

Sami Jo Lukach, 32, of Delaware Street, Monessen and Thomas Twigg, 41, of Vine Street, Monongahela were both charged with simple assault and harassment this week.

Police were called to Vine Street just after 6 p.m. by Louise Twigg, Thomas Twigg’s mother.

Monongahela Officer Ryan Lenzi said Louise Twigg told him she was assaulted by her son and his girlfriend, Lukach.
