Caroline Ann “Carol” Perry Jericho, 80, of Carroll Township, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, surrounded by her loving family in the Residence at Hilltop, Monongahela. Born in New Eagle on Oct. 9, 1938, Carol was a daughter of the late Sam Perry Sr. and the late Mary Toretti Perry. Mrs. Jericho was a retired housekeeper for Monongahela Valley Hospital where she worked for over 20 years. Carol was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Donora where she avidly volunteered. She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed talking on the phone with friends, shopping and loved watching Dancing with the Stars. Carol was very sociable and a true people person. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband James “Jake” Jericho, a son, Perry R. Jericho and a brother, Sam Perry Jr. She is survived by two sons, James (Roseann) Jericho Jr. of Carroll Township and Tony (Kristy) Jericho of Rostraver; four grandchildren, James (Delia) Jericho III, Gina (Chris) Cross, Ashley (Scott) Montto and Lauren Jericho (Adam Bliven); six great-grandchildren, Gianna, Bella, Jake, Gia, Rico, and Jada; three siblings, Mary Lou Wilson of Carroll Township, Rosemarie “Babe” (Ron) Koscelek of Florida and Eugene A. Perry of Carroll Township; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St., Ext., Carroll Township, Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2019. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Donora. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
