Virginia Kerchin Yuschak – Monessen

Virginia Kerchin Yuschak, 93, of Monessen, passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2019. Virginia was born Oct. 22, 1925. She was born and raised in Monessen. On Aug. 7, 1948, she married the love of her life, John Yuschak. They raised two sons together, John and Richard. Virginia had a passion for bowling, baking, gambling and trips to Atlantic City. She mostly loved spending time with her family and playing with her great-grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, John, as well as her parents, Andrew and Elizabeth Slebodnik Kerchin. She is survived by her sister, Rita and husband Ron Neff; her two children, John and wife Deborah Yuschak of Shelby, Ohio, and Richard Yuschak of Monessen; her grandchildren, Theresa and husband Matt Seasley, Micheal and wife Tori Yuschak, Erica and husband Jeff Jones, Carley and husband Chad Layhue; and her great-grandchildren, Ayden, Kendra, Liam, Chase and Cole. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue. A Blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, in the funeral home with Father Michael Crookston officiating. Interment in Holy Name Cemetery to follow. Flowers or any other donations may be sent to 1415 Marion Ave., Monessen, PA 15062.
