Nancy Corstorphine Huhra – formerly of Donora

Nancy Corstorphine Huhra, 88, formerly of Donora, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, in Brookdale Senior Living, Mt. Lebanon. Born July 28, 1930, in Donora, she was the daughter of James and Marie Little Corstorphine. A 1948 graduate of the former Donora High School and the Douglas School of Business in Monessen, Nancy retired from her family-owned cleaners, One Hour Martinizing in Donora. She was a member of the Forecast Club, the Donora Women’s Club, Order of the Eastern Star, where she was Worthy Matron from 1986-1987, the White Shrine of Jerusalem and was also a volunteer at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Surviving are a son, Andrew J. Jr. (Keli) Huhra of Normal, Ill.; a daughter, Darcy DeBerardinis (John Gregg) of Pittsburgh; a sister, JoAnn (James) Perry of Butler; six grandchildren, Dena DeBerardinis-Colditz (Charles), Lisa DeBerardinis-Riley (Kevin), Brad DeBerardinis (Lindsey), Lindsay Huhra-Sorrill (Levi), Andrew J. Huhra III, Kristen Krueger-Kubsch (Matthew); 10 great-grandchildren, Carson and Quinn Colditz, Michael, Darren, Reagan and Sean Riley, Daniel and Grace Sorrill and Theodore and Oliver Kubsch. Preceding her in death was her first husband, Andrew J. Huhra Sr., who died Nov. 18, 1995; her second husband, Sherman R. Gates, who died Aug. 5, 2014, and a sister and brother-in-law, Rita (Walter) Kline. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, from 10 to noon Wednesday, at which time funeral services will begin with Pastor Joshua Green officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
