The state secretary of health on Friday urged residents to prioritize safety and take necessary precautions as snow is forecast for much of the commonwealth this weekend, particularly the southern half of the state.
“Residents should monitor the weather closely and prepare for the possibility of snow and freezing temperatures,” Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine said. “This weekend’s storm is a good reminder to be prepared. Make sure that you take steps to protect yourself if you must go outdoors, and have a preparedness kit in your vehicle.”
The current forecast predicts accumulating snow this weekend.
West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, the southern portion of Pennsylvania and several other states are expected to see heavy snowfall as a result of the storm.
