George B. Aul – Belle Vernon

George B. Aul, 91, of Belle Vernon, Washington Township, passed away at 12:47 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family. Born Dec. 9, 1927, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late George and Rose Kuhn Aul. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 48 years, Mr. Aul was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Aul was retired from Harmon Lumber Co., where he worked as a cabinet maker. He was a member of the Carpenters Union and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local No. 252, was a member of the YMCA and enjoyed woodworking and crafting items of wood. He is survived by his wife, Loretta M. Davis Aul, to whom he was married 67 years; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Anthony Bettile of Canfield, Ohio; son, George F. Aul of Belle Vernon; three grandchildren, Anthony Bettile, Brittany Bettile and Jessica Aul; and sister, Clara Fotta of Glenshaw. He was preceded in death by his infant son, John Aul; two brothers, Fred Aul and Frank Aul; and an infant sister. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. James Bump as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the Rosary for the departed soul of George Aul at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
