Charleroi man accused of assaulting girlfriend

A Charleroi man accused of assaulting and “stomping” on his girlfriend in a Crest Avenue home in front of her young daughter and threatening to kill everyone in the home has been released from jail.
Cody Nichols, 31, is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.
He was arraigned Monday morning before Magisterial District Judge Gary H. Havelka, but was released from Washington County Correctional Facility after posting $10,000 bail through a bondsman.
Police were called to the 800 block of Crest Avenue for a domestic dispute on Monday.
