Anthony R. “Tony” Mosco, 92, of Monessen, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at his residence. He was born on Oct. 13, 1926, in Monessen, the son of the late Ralph and Pauline Chiaravalle Mosco. Tony was a lifelong resident of Monessen and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army Anti-Tank Company, 20th Infantry Regiment. He retired in 1991 from Corning Glass with 50 years of service, having worked as a group leader in the mixing department. He is survived by three sons, Anthony R. (Betty) Mosco Jr., David (Shelia) Mosco, and Kenneth Mosco and companion Sheryl Price; two daughters, Tammy Lenhart and Michele (Ronald) Palo; 13 grandchildren, Anthony (Brittany) Mosco III, Nicole (Ryan) Chiplaskey, David (Kristie) Mosco Jr., Michael (Jennifer) Mosco, Jonathan Mosco, Timothy Mosco, Kenneth Mosco Jr., Monica (Jason) Panek, Robert, Brent, and Garrett Lenhart, Lexie and Yvette Palo; 12 great-grandchildren; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Yvette (Bertin) Mosco; a brother, Fred Mosco; and by four sisters, infant Elizabeth, Mary Ambrose, Elizabeth Mosco and Fannie Ostetrico. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held Monday beginning with a 9:30 a.m. blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd., Monessen, with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
