Rose ‘Rosina’ Gaggini Belle Vernon

Rose “Rosina” Gaggini, 94, of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, in the New Dawn Personal Care Home, Charleroi. A daughter of the late Nicholas and Marianna DiGravio Fantini, she was born in Belle Vernon on Aug. 7, 1924. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Rose graduated from the former Vernon High School on Market Street and the Sewickley Valley School of Nursing. She had been employed as a registered nurse at the former Charleroi-Monessen Hospital and also for Dr. Connelly and Dr. Dent in Fayette City and Dr. Crudo at Mon Valley Hospital. She was also a visiting nurse for the Visiting Nurse Association. Rose was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, the Annita Garibaldi and the Nurse’s Club. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mariann and Ronald G. Price of Rostraver, and Regina and Guerino DeFalco of Plum; four grandchildren, Rebecca Bond of Rock Hill, S.C., Ronald C. Price of Fort Mill, S.C., Felicia Hohman of Creighton, Pa., and Brad Ruskewicz of Plum; seven great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Kayla and Aubree Hohman, Ryan, Brandan and Vera Price and Willow Bond. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger I. Gaggini, on Feb. 15, 1995; two sisters, Julia Sefchok and Jenny Bartolozzi and a brother, Cam Fantini. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. A blessing service will follow in the funeral home at noon with the Rev. Francisco R. Gan officiating. The members of the Annita Garibaldi Society will meet in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday for services.
