Ringgold found no luck Tuesday as they ventured into Fayette County to take on fellow section-unbeaten Uniontown.
Junior Billy Deshields scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Red Raiders to a 71-43 triumph over the Rams (9-2, 2-1) in Section 3-4A play.
“Obviously Billy made us go in the first half, but I think the difference was the inside play and how hard we rebounded the ball,” Uniontown coach Rob Kezmarsky said. “We have so much respect for Coach Pergola and they just have so many good players.”
The Red Raiders (6-3, 3-0) started off with a 9-0 run. Deshields scored five of those points before Demetrius Butler answered with four quick points of his own for the Rams’ as they cut into the lead with 2:38 remaining in the first quarter.
