Phillip ‘Lon’ Lonnie Seighman – Monongahela

Phillip “Lon” Lonnie Seighman, 52, of Monongahela, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, in his home. Born Nov. 10, 1966, in Monongahela, he is the son of Phillip M. and wife Karen Seighman of Monongahela and the late Janet R. Wilson Seighman. Lonnie graduated in 1985 from Ringgold High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He was stationed in the Philippines, Guam and Turkey and spent the next 23 years in the Air National Guard as an airplane inspector for the AC135 Refueling Planes at the 171st Air Force Base in Pittsburgh, until his retirement in October 2014. For a brief time, Lon worked as a mechanic for U.S. Air at Pittsburgh International Airport. He was a member of Journey By Grace Church in Rostraver Township, enjoyed scuba diving and was proud to have been a part of the former Mon-Valley Dive Team. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two sons, Noah Z. and Camden P. Seighman of Monongahela; three sisters, Lorrie L. Seighman of Monongahela, Elana Reichenbach of Ohio and Anna Marie Rankin of Monongahela; along with many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends and family are invited to attend a time of gathering in the Nottingham Christian Center, 1028 Linden Rd., Eighty Four, PA 15330, from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2019, with the memorial service beginning at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas Ravasio officiating and a luncheon to follow in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be held at a later date in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
