When it comes to wins and losses, there’s just some teams that have another team’s number.
For the California University women’s basketball team, they’ve come to own Slippery Rock over the past 17 years.
In the last 35 meetings between the two teams, the Vulcans own a 35-0 record against The Rock.
The No. 16 Vulcans overcame an 11-point deficit in the final 6:31 to come away with a 78-72 win over visiting Slippery Rock at the Cal U Convocation Center.
Gina Vallecorsa led the way with 20 points and Abbey Sporio, an Elizabeth Forward graduate, finished with 17 for the Vulcans.
