A Glassport man accused of shooting his two dogs late last month will face charges, according to police.

Glassport police Chief Cliff LeFever said he will not release the man’s name until charges are officially filed, but confirmed one of the dogs died as a result of a gunshot wound.

He said the other dog, whose name is Sampson, was shot but survived and is being taken care of by McKeesport-based Sable Kennel.

LeFever said Glassport police are actively working with the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office to determine exactly what charges the man will face.
