Some professional athletes are coming together at Penn State-Greater Allegheny this weekend to raise money that will help Hispanic students at the McKeesport campus pay for their tuition.

The campus is co-hosting a charity basketball game with the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to raise funds to support PMAHCC’s Foundation Educational Fund, which provides scholarships for Hispanic college students who live in the Greater Pittsburgh area. The proceeds will also benefit PSUGA’s general scholarship program.

PMAHCC is the principal regional advocate for the Hispanic business community’s civic and economic interests. The organization aims to develop, promote and advocate on behalf of Hispanic businesses and professionals in the Pittsburgh region, while encouraging the advancement and economic growth of Pittsburgh’s Hispanic community. PMAHCC is a member of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The event is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Wunderley Gymnasium on Greater Allegheny’s campus.
