Russell Paul Daniels – Formerly of Monessen

Russell Paul Daniels went to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 21, 2018. Russ was born on May 4, 1926, in Monessen. He and Mariruth, his wife of 66 years, moved to Lakeland, Fla., in 1986. He was an active member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Russ was a World War II veteran and a life member of Monessen Volunteer Fire Dept. No. 2. Russ retired from General Motors Corp. after running a small press for 33 years. Russ was predeceased by his parents, Elias and Effie Daniels; a daughter, Natalie Ann Daniels; a brother, Mitchell Daniels; and a great-grandson, Russell Scott Huffman. He is survived by his wife, Mariruth Daniels; two daughters, Cheryl Huffman (Bill) Costine of Lakeland, Fla., and Danee Marie (Brian) Batiste of Katy, Texas; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the general funds of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 501 E. Carter Road, Lakeland, FL 33813. Our loving father and papap will live forever in our hearts and will be deeply missed. A Mass of resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Lakeland, Fla.
