The California University men’s basketball team claimed its fourth victory in its last five games with a 72-57 triumph over Gannon in PSAC West action Saturday.

The Vulcans (5-7, 3-3) held a slim 34-33 lead at halftime before heating up in the second half, outscoring the Golden Knights, 38-24.

Brent Pegram posted his fourth consecutive 20-plus point performance and fifth of the season by pouring in 23 for Cal U. Pegram, who is averaging 18.2 points per game this season, was 7 for 11 from the field and hit four shots from beyond the arc.
