Toprani concedes 49th District contest

Monongahela Democrat Steve Toprani has officially conceded to state Rep. Bud Cook, R-West Pike Run Township.

They were competing for the 49th District seat in the state Legislature in a race that dragged on well past election night. 

Cook originally held a 109-vote lead, but that advantage began to narrow as absentee, military and provisional ballots were counted.
