Shorraw’s Monessen authority pick resigns

Just days after Monessen Mayor Matt Shorraw came under fire for a controversial appointment to the redevelopment authority, his appointee has resigned.
Last week, Shorraw, who has missed 20 consecutive council meetings, emailed city administrator/clerk Judith Taylor several hours before council’s work session, notifying her of Sharon Lewgood’s appointment to the authority board.
