BVA Charitable Fund distributes nearly $10K in grants

The BVA Charitable Fund was in the giving spirit on Monday.
During a school board meeting, the nonprofit organization driven by community leaders, awarded six grants totaling almost $10,000 to different projects and programs throughout the district.
Made possible through donations, gift-giving and fundraising, checks presented were the first round of an estimated $15,000 that will be distributed this academic year, with the remaining funds to be distributed in the spring.
Grants will help students and teachers carry out educational visions, projects and programs thanks to donations, gift-giving and fundraising in the organization’s second year in operation.
