Elizabeth police chief resigns

Less than two weeks after being placed on administrative leave, Elizabeth Borough’s police chief has resigned.

Borough council accepted chief Tim Butler’s resignation with a 6-0 vote during Tuesday’s meeting, making it effective immediately.
