Forward Township take over 2 roads

The Forward Township Board of Supervisors unanimously adopted Golden Circle and Pond Lane as township roads during Monday night’s meeting.
The township municipal building is located on Golden Circle while Pond Lane sits adjacent to it.
Supervisor Dave Magiske said accepting them as township roads allows Forward to be reimbursed under liquid fuels.
The Municipal Liquid Fuels Program funds various projects in support of construction, reconstruction, maintenance and repair of public roads or streets.
Magiske said the amount of money a municipality receives is based on the length of the roads. He added that the township would plan to use the liquid fuels money for new street lights and paving projects.
