Cal U’s McPhatter, McCorkle named All-Americans

California University defensive back Lamont McPhatter II and junior offensive lineman Craig McCorkle were both named American Football Coaches Association All-Americans this week.
McPhatter earned AFCA first-team honors and McCorkle received second-team laurels.
This marks the first time in school history the Vulcans had multiple AFCA All-Americans. A Cal U has been honored by the AFCA for three straight years and nine times in the last 14 seasons.
A team captain, McPhatter led the team with five interceptions, ranking third in the PSAC.
