Editorial: Christmas Cheer Club needs your help

IT’S HARD TO BELIEVE, but Christmas is three weeks from today. We are once more calling on our readers to help needy children in the Mid-Mon Valley.

The Christmas Cheer Club at the former Valley Independent was a key driver in the Monessen Salvation Army Citadel’s annual toy drive. We at the Mon Valley Independent have continued that tradition by asking readers to join the Christmas Cheer Club by bringing unwrapped toys valued at a minimum of $5 to our office at 996 Donner Ave. in Monessen.
