Large donation presented to Harvest Bounty Program

The Harvest Bounty Program, a weekend food program in the Charleroi Area School District, received a donation Tuesday from a community organization.

Launched in spring 2014, the program benefits students in kindergarten through grade eight by sending home bags of food to keep students from going hungry over the weekend. Teachers, students and other volunteers pack more than 300 bags that are distributed each Friday.
