Hazardous holiday on state roads

Crashes throughout Pennsylvania increased by more than 13 percent over the Thanksgiving holiday, according to a report released Tuesday.
State police investigated 1,116 accidents during a five-day period from Nov. 21 through Nov. 25. The total represents a 13.8 percent increase over the 981 crashes investigated during the 2017 Thanksgiving holiday period.
