Decision days away in Toprani, Cook race

Voters in the 49th Legislative District have been waiting to learn who will be their state representative in the new year, but it will be several more days before they’ll get answers.

Representatives for incumbent state Rep. Bud Cook, R-West Pike Run Township, and Steve Toprani, D-Monongahela, have spent the week watching the electoral process play out as Washington County Elections officials have counted and recounted votes.
