Cook, Toprani too close to call

Last night’s race for the Valley’s 49th Legislative District seat was too close to call when the final precincts reported just before midnight.

According to unofficial election results, incumbent state Rep. Bud Cook, R-West Pike Run Township, was up by 109 votes over Democrat Steve Toprani of Monongahela.
