EF falls to rival TJ to end WPIAL run

Elizabeth Forward’s storybook run through the WPIAL playoffs ended with a 3-1 loss at the hands of third-seeded Thomas Jefferson in the WPIAL Class 3A semifinals Thursday night at Norwin High School.

The 10th-seeded Warriors fell in the first set before claiming the victory in set number two. However, losses in the third and fourth set doomed EF and allowed the Jaguars to advance to the WPIAL championship game against Knoch.
