State blamed for gas line mistake

A flawed state safe-digging system may have been responsible for a narrowly avoided disaster involving a Monessen gas line.

Tensions rose during Wednesday’s meeting as city council came under fire for alleged negligence in connection with the demolition of the former mini-mall at 512 and 514 Donner Ave.
