Elizabeth receives grant for riverfront development

Elizabeth has more money to spend to turn its Riverfront Park into a recreation and business magnet.

Council accepted a $167,000 Gaming Economic Development and Tourism Fund grant from the state at Tuesday’s meeting, giving credit to outgoing state Rep. Rick Saccone. The borough now has $254,000 to spend on the major revitalization project.
