Council blasted for demolition snag

“Catastrophic” was the word several Monessen residents used to describe a narrowly avoided disaster involving a gas line on Donner Avenue.

Tensions rose during Wednesday’s meeting as city council came under fire for alleged negligence in connection with the demolition of the former mini-mall, which began Monday.
