Potential layoff sparks dispute in Charleroi

A Charleroi councilman called a press conference Monday to discuss how the potential layoff of a borough street worker was mishandled.

Larry Celaschi said he decided on a  press conference regarding “a very serious borough situation” after he attempted to handle the problem in house. However, he was unable to get three required signatures from other council members to schedule a special meeting to discuss the issue publicly.
