Editorial: Charitable efforts worthy of support

TWO UNIQUE FUNDRAISERS are coming up in the Mid-Mon Valley that will be collecting money for worthy causes.

The ninth annual John Barbero Memorial Auction and Vendor Event is scheduled for 12:30 to 3 p.m. Oct. 21 in the gymnasium of the Mon Valley YMCA in Carroll Township. The auction benefits youth programs at the YMCA, including a new Plants and Pillars program that was just launched this week.
