10 years of Local Share Account celebrated

A program marking its 10th anniversary this year has made nearly half a billion dollar investment in several Washington County communities.

The Local Share Account, which was put into legislation in 2008 under the PA Race Horse Development and Gaming Act, distributes portions of local share assessments on certain licensed gaming facilities to support and enhance community and economic well being.
