Monessen beautification group forms

A new private community initiative to beautify Monessen is hopeful for the future of the city.

During a kick-off meeting Tuesday at Monessen Public Library, more than a dozen area residents heard from Vince Quatrini, board emeritus of the Latrobe Community Revitalization Program, who spoke of how such a group could help Monessen.
