Monessen to hold special meeting for emergency demolition

Monessen City Council will hold a special meeting tonight to discuss the emergency demolition of a former fire department social hall.

City solicitor Joseph R. Dalfonso said council was notified Monday that there was an “issue” with the vacant building at 279 Schoonmaker Ave. City engineers, WEC Inc., worked quickly to assess the dilapidated structure.
