Area facility impresses in work to combat addiction

Two state officials were impressed Tuesday after a visit to a Center of Excellence facility in Monessen.

Department of Human Services Secretary Teresa Miller and Department of Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine stopped by Mon Valley Community Health Services to talk about Gov. Wolf’s efforts to ensure the future of the Centers of Excellence program and the work being done to combat the opioid epidemic.
