Editorial: Floods have always been way of life here

RESIDENTS IN THE REGION are suffering through another round of flooding, something that has been going on as long as people have inhabited the areas along the Monongahela and Youghiogheny rivers and the streams that flow into them.

Dealing with uncontrollable rising water is a way of life — flood insurance or not — that includes inconvenience at best, property damage always, and at worst, loss of life.
