Donora debates camera locations

West Penn Power removed a security camera from a telephone pole near the incinerator and former illegal dump site on Pine Alley in Donora because the electric company was footing the bill to power the camera, borough officials said during a workshop meeting last week.

The ensuing conversation led to a debate on where cameras should be located, why they’re being used, what’s most important to cover and whether they’re being used to spy on people.
