BVA’s Henderson wins cross country gold

A number of local runners had big performances in the annual River Trail Cross Country Invite held along the Boston riverfront Friday.
Belle Vernon Area’s Grace Henderson, a PIAA qualifier last season, brought home the gold in the girls’ race. The sophomore finished with a time of 19:32.4.
The Mon Valley dominated the race with nine of the 10 top finishers.
