BVA strikes before lightning

Over their last two meetings, Belle Vernon Area had outscored Ambridge, 98-0. The trend continued Friday as the Leopards opened their season with a dominating 43-0 win over the Bridgers at James Weir Stadium.

The game was called at halftime after a lengthy lightning delay.
