Editorial: Publicity can lead to copycats

WITH AREA SCHOOLS back in session, it seems like a good time to remind readers about our policy regarding alleged threats of violence.

Unless a threat leads to an arrest or involves unique circumstances, we won’t be publicizing it. We already had an example of unique circumstances last week when a reported threat on social media led to the cancellation of the football game between Charleroi Area and Monessen.
