More charges for man accused in fire, shooting

A Charleroi man accused last week of accepting payment for carpet installation services that he never performed faces new accusations.

Last week, Charles D. Sleith Jr., 51, of Craven Street  was twice charged with theft by deception and deceptive or fraudulent business practices. The first case, which he was arraigned for, involved allegedly accepting $150 from a Carroll Township man but failing to perform the agreed upon work of installing an outdoor carpet.
