Changes will greet California students

Students in the California Area School District head back to the classroom Wednesday, and new programs await them across all grade levels.
According to Superintendent Michael Sears, California will start the year with 871 students, which is 27 fewer than in 2017-18. There are 52 new students who have enrolled in kindergarten, and those classes will be about 19 students each.
