McKeesport Area School District receives outdoor metal detectors

In preparation for the new school year, McKeesport Area School District leaders have been focusing on campus and classroom safety. This week, they took an extra step to ensure safety during extracurricular events.

The McKeesport Fire Department presented the district with a new outdoor walk-through metal detector, which will be used at football games, outdoor music events, graduation and prom.
