10th annual Village for Kids cut short by storm

Hundreds of children from the Mon Valley didn’t let a little rain chase them away from Monday’s 10th annual Village for Kids in McKeesport — at least not until the thunder and lightening rolled in.

Youngsters who braved the weather got to dance to music and eat hot dogs while “expressing what it means to be a kid,” according to event chairwoman Alison Piccolino.
