Show goes on without Shorraw

For the first time in more than two months, Monessen City Council conducted business Thursday — without Mayor Matt Shorraw.

It was standing room only during the first meeting after a panel of Westmoreland County judges appointed Lois Thomas to fill the seat left vacant by Councilman Ron Chiaravalle’s May 28 death.
