Local author will speak at Civil War Roundtable

Christopher D. George was at his grandfather’s funeral in 1993 when he started to develop a deep interest in learning about his family history. Throughout his research, he discovered his great-great-grandfather was a private in a Northern military group during the Civil War.

“I really hadn’t had any interest in family history up to that point and was intrigued, at that moment, to learn more about my family history,” George said. “That’s lasted ever since.”
