Celebration in Donora over LSA money for memorial

The soggy weather couldn’t dampen the mood in Donora Wednesday as Washington County Commissioners and borough officials gathered to celebrate another victory in the quest to renovate the AP Delsandro Memorial. “It’s a great day for Donora; it’s an even greater day for the 87 men whose names are on those plaques, and their families and friends and veterans throughout the town,” said Tom Delsandro, son of former mayor Albert P. Delsandro, for whom the memorial was created and named.
